Our National Debt and Budget Deficits in perspective

Dave Ramsey is a financial advisor who has a radio talk show on money matters, mostly directed towards consumers. He used to have an hour long program on Fox Business TV Channel and I used to watch it regularly because he was entertaining and projected a very congenial visage. Besides his personality I enjoyed his theme, which always emphasized avoidance of debt as well as paying the debt off whenever possible and the fastest way one knows how to.

When I read this article by Doug Patton I was impressed by Dave’s ability to put the whole question of national debt, budget deficits and the struggle going on in Congress right now in their attempt to reduce spending, into proportions which anybody can understand.
